Growing up my Mom would make this a least once a week. Everytime she made it my friends wanted to stay for dinner. Now I make it and my family loves it. I serve it with a tossed salad and garlic bread. It's a quick and easy dinner.

Ingredients For american chop suey

enough oilve oil to coat the bottom of a deep skillet

1green pepper, chopped

1onion, chopped
-
12 ozbox sliced mushrooms

1 lbground beef
-
1jar or your own homemade pasta sauce
-
1 lbelbow macaroni, cooked
-
grated parmesan cheese
-
salt
-
pepper
How To Make american chop suey

1Cover the bottom of a deep skillet with olive oil. Add peppers, onions, mushrooms, salt and pepper. Saute until tender. Add ground beef and cook until no longer pink. Drain excess fat. Add sauce and simmer for 30 minutes.

2Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain but do not rinse. Mix macaroni with sauce mixture and top with grated cheese.
