amazing burgers

Will never go back to plain hamburgers again! Tastes like your favorite hamburger, with 10x more flavor! Nothing strange...my kids who were judging this against their favorite fast food cheese burgers said these were the BEST they ever had. A new favorite at our household...and so easy! Adapted from a recipe 'Rach's "Big Spicy Mac"' (but mine's not so spicy) in Rachael Ray's The Big Book of Burger...which is a fabulous cookbook, with all sorts of things I want to try. Amazing that a book on Burgers can have so much tantalizing variety.

Burger, cumin, coriander
Ingredients
- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 tablespoon ground chili powder (i like new mexican. any will do; just don't use cayenne!)
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon ground coriander seed
- 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
How To Make amazing burgers

Step 1Mix ingredients together well in a bowl. Shape into 8 patties, thinner in the middle and thicker on the edges. Sprinkle with salt & pepper on both sides while cooking.

Step 2Grill, cook under broiler on Hi, or in a large skillet with olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook till browned and cooked through, about 2 minutes on each side. When you flip the burgers, top each with a slice of cheddar or pepper jack cheese.

Step 3Serve on buns with toppings of choice (thinly sliced red onion, lettuce, & burger sauce made of ketchup, mayo, miracle whip, & dill relish is our favorite...can add 1 can diced green chilies to burger sauce, if you want.)
