A new favorite at our household...and so easy!
Adapted from a recipe 'Rach's "Big Spicy Mac"' (but mine's not so spicy) in Rachael Ray's The Big Book of Burger...which is a fabulous cookbook, with all sorts of things I want to try. Amazing that a book on Burgers can have so much tantalizing variety.
2 lblean ground beef
1 Tbspground chili powder (i like new mexican. any will do; just don't use cayenne!)
1 Tbspground cumin
1 Tbspground coriander seed
1/4 cworcestershire sauce
How to Make Amazing Burgers
- Mix ingredients together well in a bowl. Shape into 8 patties, thinner in the middle and thicker on the edges. Sprinkle with salt & pepper on both sides while cooking.
- Grill, cook under broiler on Hi, or in a large skillet with olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook till browned and cooked through, about 2 minutes on each side.
When you flip the burgers, top each with a slice of cheddar or pepper jack cheese.
- Serve on buns with toppings of choice (thinly sliced red onion, lettuce, & burger sauce made of ketchup, mayo, miracle whip, & dill relish is our favorite...can add 1 can diced green chilies to burger sauce, if you want.)
