My Mom made this a lot, it has such a good smell it leaves in your house! Such a good tangy taste, great for something different for dinner.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds round steak
  • 2- 15 ounces canned tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 2-3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 2 large onions sliced

How To Make amanda's oven baked swiss steak

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Cut steak into small steaks and coat in flour. Brown steaks in a little oil and salt and pepper them.
  • Step 3
    In a bowl combine remaining ingredients.
  • Step 4
    Place steaks into a large casserole dish or baking pan, and pour the sauce over it. Cover dish and bake for about an hour.
  • Step 5
    Its great served with rice or potatoes to pour the gravy over!!
