Ingredients
- 1 pound round steak or top round, cut into 1" cubes
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 cup water
- 1 - bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 16 ounces kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 cup rice
- 2 - green bell peppers, chopped
- 1 - chopped onion
- 1.5 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
How To Make african beef and rice

Step 1Preheat oven to 350.

Step 2Brown beef in oil in skillet.

Step 3Add water, bay leaf, salt and red pepper.

Step 4Cover and simmer for 45 minutes.

Step 5Drain beef, reserving broth.

Step 6Add enough water to make 2 cups liquid and pour all ingredients into 2 quart casserole dish, cover and bake in oven for 50 minutes.
