I had forgotten to put the roast in a crock pot in the morning..Now I am not allowed to. Can be used to make roast beef au jus sandwiches too or even open face roast beef sammies.

Ingredients
- 2 1/2+ pounds beef rump roast
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons black pepper
- 1 tablespoon sea salt or to taste
- 1 cup strong coffee ( i used the leftover from morning)
- 4 teaspoons butter or margerine
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
How To Make accidental perfect rump roast

Step 1pre-heat the oven to 450

Step 2remove the netting from the roast.

Step 3Melt butter in a heavy, oven proof skillet, I use cast iron.

Step 4brown the roast on all sides in the butter.

Step 5rub all spices all over the roast and leave it in the skillet.

Step 6add the cup of coffee and a cup of water.

Step 7place in oven, let cook 1/2 hour, turn over and repeat for the next two hours.

Step 8remove from oven, let sit 10 minutes and slice across grain.

Step 9place roast on platter, set skillet on stove on medium heat, add tablespoon of cornstarch and let come to boil until thickened, stirring constantly. This is an awesome sauce/gravy.
