Ingredients

  • 3 pounds stew beef, cubed
  • 2 ounces red wine
  • 1 can tomatoes with green chiles, large
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 package frozen peas
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 6 - carrots, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 - medium potatoes, cubed
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 3 - medium onions, coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon marjoram
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 teaspoon rosemary
  • 3 tablespoons instant tapioca

How To Make 5-hour beef stew

  • Step 1
    Cut beef into cubes and place in deep casserole. Pour red wine over meat.
  • Step 2
    Cube vegetables and place on top of meat.
  • Step 3
    Add seasonings and bake for 5 hours at 300.
