Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1 1/2 pounds chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, cut into 1" pieces
- 4 large carrots, thinly sliced
- 4 - green onions, sliced including green portions
- 3 - celery stalks, sliced
- 1 medium green pepper, coursely chopped
- 1 cup chicken broth, reduced sodium
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1/3 cup soy sauce, low sodium
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 8 ounces can, bean sprouts
- 8 ounces can, sliced water chestnuts
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup water
How To Make spicy chicken chow mein

Step 1Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces and cook until brown. Put in crock pot. Add remaining ingredients, except cornstarch and water; stir to combine. Cover; cook on low 6 to 8 hours.

Step 2Turn to high. In small bowl, stir cornstarch into cold water until dissolved. Stir into liquid in crock pot. Place cover slightly ajar on crock pot. Cook until thickened (15 to 30 minutes). Serve with cooked rice or Raman noodles with chow mein noodles, if desired.
