shu mai (dim sum)
i love shu mai and decided to look online for a recipe. i found a few and mixed in a few of my own ingredients. its a hit for a party! I got alot of compliments on this dish! Some say its better than the Shu Mai you buy already cooked!

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 pound shrimp (chopped)
- - green onions
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 large onion (minced)
- 1 can water chestnuts (chopped)
- - fresh cilantro or chinese parsley (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon rice wine
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- - salt/pepper (to taste)
- 2 packages won ton wrapper
How To Make shu mai (dim sum)

Step 1Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. 2 pkgs. won ton wrapper. place 1 tbs of mix into wrapper. wet outside the wrapper with egg and wrap. line the steamer with lettuce. place shu mai on top of lettuce. do not over crowd shu mai or it will stick together. steam for 10 minutes. serve with sauce.
