I learned to make this at my frist summer job when I was about 16. After that I had to make this every time we went to the beach, park or just a day out for a pinic. Its a quick finger food & everyone loves it.

Ingredients

1 can(s)
spam, sliced
3 c
rice, cooked, cooled
1 pkg
nori

MUSUBI SAUCE:

1 c
shoyu "soy sauce'
1/4 c
sugar
1/4 c
water

How to Make Hawaiian Style Spam Musubi

Step-by-Step

  • 1Frist cook & cool the rice. Then slice the spam into 8 slices. Place into a meduim pot & add in the sauce mix.
  • 2Then heat over low to medium heat for about 5 to 8 mins. Then remove from heat & remove from the pot.
  • 3Next place the nori on a clean plastic wrap table. Then place the spam can maker in the middle of the nori. Then fill half way with rice & top with 1 spam.
  • 4Then press spam maker top down onto spam & carefully remove the spam maker buy pulling up.Then remove the spam maker top & fold over the nori to cover the spam.
  • 5Then set a side for a few mins as you make the rest. Once kind of cool to the touch. Slice each musubi in half to make 2 musubi's out of 1.
