chinese peanut sauce

I like to serve this over pasta with steamed vegetables. Garnish with some diced cucumber.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (you can use either creamy or crunchy)
  • 3/4 cup hot water
  • 2 tablespoons tamari
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cider vinegar
  • - cayenne, to taste
  • - salt, to taste

How To Make chinese peanut sauce

  • Step 1
    Place peanut butter in a bowl. Add hot water and stir until well mixed and smooth.
  • Step 2
    Stir in remaining ingredients and mix well. Sauce will thicken as it cools. (It can get thicker than you think it will, so you want it a little on the thin side. If it is too thick, add a little hot water - too thin, add peanut butter.)
