3 Tbsp
dark sesame oil
thick shoulder-cut lamb chops,trimmed of excess fat
3/4 c
finely chopped yellow onion
3 clove
garlic,peeled and minced
3 Tbsp
soy sauce
3 Tbsp
chile paste
3/4 c
tart orange marmalade
1 1/2 Tbsp
rice wine vinegar
1 Tbsp
minced fresh ginger

How to Make Asian Lamb Chops


  • 1Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chops and brown them lightly on both sides. Transfer the chops to paper towels to drain.
  • 2Add the onion and garlic and cook,covered over low heat until tender and lightly colored, 20 minutes.
  • 3Add the soy sauce,chili paste, marmalade,vinegar and ginger. Simmer for 2 minutes,stirring constantly.
  • 4Return the chops to the skillet,cover,and cook over low heat,turning once,until done, about 7 minutes. Serve immediately, spooning the sauce over the chops.
