Low Fat Tomato Tandoori Chicken Curry
- 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or 12 boneless skinless thighs)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp tandoori masala
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 large or 2 small red onions
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 pounds fresh diced tomatoes (about 8 large tomatoes)
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 cups plain tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp yellow curry powder
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- 1 tbsp tandoori masala
- 1/2 tsp red curry powder
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp ground cardamom
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp allspice
- 2 tbsp finely grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp ground fennel seed
- 1 cup non-fat yogurt
