INGREDIENTS
2/3 cup warm non-fat milk (think hot bath water, about 45 seconds in the microwave)
1 package active dry yeast (about 2 1/4 teaspoons)
1/3 cup + 1/2 teaspoon sugar, divided
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 teaspoon lemon zest (from 1 medium lemon)
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (from 1 medium lemon)
3 - 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
Paddle attachment & dough hook for your mixer
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons lemon zest (from 1-2 medium lemons)
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1-2 cups blueberries, fresh or frozen (if frozen, make sure they are thawed and drained), see note
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 ounces cream cheese, very soft
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Pinch salt
3-4 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
