INGREDIENTS

1 cup all purpose flour or gluten-free flour blend

1 teaspoon baking powder
•
heavy pinch kosher salt
•
1/2 cup whole milk
•
1 stick of butter
•
2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
•
1 1/4 cups water
•
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
•
1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon
•
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
•
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
•
1 teaspoon kosher salt (I used Morton's)
•
6 firm peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced into 8 pieces each (I used frozen since peaches are not currently in season here)

1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional, for garnish. I didn't use pecans)
