Key Lime Pie Martini

I bought a bottle of key lime juice not so long ago to make a pie. (I know, you are thinking a key lime pie, right? Well, kind of... almost. But not exactly. Don't you worry your pretty little heads. ;) That recipe is coming to the blog before too lo

When you have a nice sized bottle of key lime juice sitting in your fridge, you start to brainstorm all kinds of recipe ideas. Because well, you have a bottle of key lime juice.

And you want to use it all and not let a single drop of it go bad, right?

I actually spent a little time in the Keys years ago. In fact on one week long summer vacation to Key West, I made it my business to visit various local restaurants and bakeries in search of the perfect slice of key lime pie. Everyone has their prefe

Since I had already made a pie (Stay tuned! Be patient.), I decided why not try my hand at creating a key lime pie you could sip and maybe even get a little tipsy from? ;)

What you will need:
•
For the graham cracker crust rim-
•
1 1/2 tbsp graham cracker crumbs
•
1/2 tbsp sugar
•
(Makes enough to rim 2-3 martini glasses)
•
For the key lime pie martini-
•
A little ice
•
1 shot whipped cream vodka
•
1 shot key lime juice
•
Splash of Sprite
•
Lime slices (for garnishing- optional)
•
(Makes just 1 martini)
