1 tbsp cinnamon (ground)
½ tsp nutmeg (ground)
½ tsp cloves (ground)
½ tsp salt
2 cups sugar
2 cups water
1 stick cinnamon
1 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
¼ cup cognac
8 whole cloves
