Ingredients: 1 tablespoon oil; 1 pound beef, cut into bite sized pieces; 1 onion, diced; 2 cloves garlic, chopped; 4 cups beef broth; 1 can Irish stout (or 2 cups beef broth); 1 teaspoon rosemary, chopped; 1 teaspoon thyme, chopped; 2 bay leaves; 2 medium white potatoes, cut into bite sized pieces; 3 carrots, cut into bite sized pieces; 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce; 1 tablespoon fish sauce (optiaonal); salt and pepper to taste
