1 c finely minced sweet onion

3 garlic cloves minced

2 Tbsp flour
•
1 c vegetable or chicken broth
•
1/2 c. 1% milk
•
4 oz. (125g) light cream cheese, cubed
•
1 c shredded asiago cheese
•
1 14oz tin artichoke hears, drained and chopped
•
1 tin crabmeat drained
•
1 package of frozen chopped spinach thawed and drained (optional)
•
1 tsp minced fresh dill (or 1/2 tsp dried)
•
1/4 tsp each salt and white pepper
•
1/4 tsp finely grated fresh lemon peel
•
Dash of hot sauce/tobasco (optional)
