1/2 cup soft butter (or lard, my sister swears it makes it way more moist)

1/3 cup vegetable oil

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup milk
•
1/2 cup brewed, cooled coffee or water
•
4 large eggs
•
For the Filling:
•
1/2 cup butter
•
1/2 cup shortening
•
6 cups powdered sugar
•
3/4 cup heavy cream
•
For the Chocolate Glaze:
•
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
•
1/4 cup milk
•
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
•
2 teaspoons vanilla
•
1/2 cup chocolate chips
•
3 cups powdered sugar
