1/2 cup real mayonnaise (Hellman's is my favorite)

1/2 cup buttermilk, well-shaken (if you prefer a slightly thicker ranch, use a little less - add more to taste, if you prefer)

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
•
1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
•
1 clove garlic, minced (add more if you like - we use 3!)
•
sea salt or kosher salt, to taste
•
freshly ground black pepper, to taste
•
dash of white vinegar
•
paprika, optional
•
garlic powder, optional
•
cayenne powder, optional
