Coarse salt for sprinkling

½ cup baking soda
•
2 quarts water
•
FOR THE BEER CHEESE

3 TBSP butter
•
4 TBSP flour
•
½ cup milk
•
¾ cup beer (the darker the beer, the stronger the beer flavor)
•
12 ounces shredded cheddar
•
½ TBSP steak sauce
•
1 tsp dry mustard
•
salt and pepper to taste
