Homemade Green Chile Enchilada Sauce in 20 Minutes

INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium white onion, finely chopped
1 jalapeno, seeds and ribs removed, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
salt and black pepper to taste ((I use ½ tsp salt and ¼ tsp pepper))
1 cup canned diced Hatch green chiles, mild or hot, based on preference
2 cups chicken broth ((or vegetable broth))
2 tbsp fresh lime juice ((about 1 lime))
