1/4 cup shortening
•
3/4 cup buttermilk

gravy
•
6 to 7 slices bacon
•
3 tablespoons bacon grease (Can make this with sausage for sausage gravy the same way)
•
2 tablespoons self-rising flour
•
2 1/2 cups milk (can use whole milk, 2 percent or evaporated)
