"Even though it's homemade, this delicious chicken and biscuits recipe is surprisingly easy to prepare, and it cooks quickly. I started with 2 large chicken breast halves, but this could also be made with cooked chicken which is leftover or from a rotisserie chicken. You'll end up with enough biscuits to save or freeze for another meal...."

INGREDIENTS
2 large chicken breast halves, bone-in
3 cups chicken broth
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 teaspoon dried leaf thyme
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 to 1/2 cup heavy cream (or whipping cream)
1 to 1 1/2 cups cooked frozen peas or peas and carrots
salt and pepper, to taste

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons sugar, optional
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 1/2 cups heavy cream (or whipping cream)
