INGREDIENTS
1 cup (2 sticks; 230g) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
1 and 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 large egg, at room temperature
2 and 1/4 cups (281g) all-purpose flour (spoon & leveled)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 - 2 Tablespoons (15-30ml) milk
one 4-ounce quality semi-sweet chocolate bar (113g), finely chopped*
maraschino cherries
sprinkles or coarse sugar
