INGREDIENTS

2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour mix (I used 1 ¾ cups of my Two-Ingredient Gluten-Free Flour Mix and ¼ cup sweet rice flour)

2 cups granulated sugar

½ cup butter (or vegan butter or margarine)
•
1 cup water
•
3 ½ tbsp cocoa powder (or raw cacao powder)
•
½ cup buttermilk (or homemade “buttermilk”; see notes)
•
1 tsp vanilla extract
•
2 unbeaten eggs
•
1 tsp baking soda
•
½ tsp salt (I use sea salt)
•
½ cup butter (or vegan butter or margarine)
•
3 ½ tsp cocoa powder (or raw cacao powder)

1/3 cup buttermilk (or homemade “buttermilk”; see notes)

3 cups powdered sugar
•
1 tsp vanilla extract
