INGREDIENTS
Dough:
1 tablespoon active dry yeast
2 cups warm milk or rice milk
8 cups Better Batter All-Purpose Gluten-Free Flour (if you live in Canada, Better Batter products can be purchased through Delicious Without)
2 teaspoons xanthan gum powder
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
5 large eggs
4 ounces (1 stick) butter, melted (or vegan butter)
2 (11-ounce) cans poppyseed filling (or make your own, see below)
Poppy Seed Filling:
1 pound ground poppyseeds
1 cup sugar
6 ounces softened butter (1 1/2 sticks) or vegan butter
1 cup hot milk or rice milk
1 lemon rind, grated
