1 ½ cups (187.5 g) all-purpose flour
¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar
3 ½ teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon kosher salt
1 ⅓ cups (327 g) buttermilk
1 large egg, (room temperature)
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, (melted and cooled slightly)
3 tablespoons molasses
maple syrup, (for topping)
