14 oz. canned diced tomatoes, with their liquid

10 oz. spinach, washed and stemmed; coarsely chopped if larger (see How to stem spinach)

8 to 10 leaves basil, coarsely chopped
•
Grated Parmesan cheese, preferably parmigiano reggiano
