INGREDIENTS

1 cup flour

¼ c. brown sugar

½ cup chopped walnuts, more or less as desired
•
½ c. butter or margarine, melted
•
2 egg whites
•
¾ c. sugar
•
12 oz. frozen strawberries, partially thawed (I like to reserve 1/3 for topping)
•
2 T. lemon juice (usually ½ lemon, squeezed, or use bottled lemon juice)
•
Optional: 1 t. almond flavoring
