Fried Green Tomatoes Recipe

INGREDIENTS
3 large unripe green tomatoes (firm tomatoes)
½ cup cornstarch (or use all-purpose flour)
1 cup buttermilk (or you can use regular milk)
1 large egg
2/3 cup cornmeal
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon Cajun seasonings (or use your favorite blend)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup vegetable oil (or more as needed) (for frying – I prefer peanut oil)
