INGREDIENTS
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup beer or nonalcoholic beer
1 large egg
1 1/2 cups finely crushed plain potato chips
2 (6-8 ounce) cod fillets, about 1 1/4 inches thick, cut lengthwise in half
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 green leaf or Bibb lettuce leaves
4 hot dog buns
4 tablespoons tartar sauce
1 small tomato, chopped
1/2 small onion, finely chopped
