    cream cheese
  • 1/2 c
    butter (or margarine) softened
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 4 1/2 to 4 3/4 c. sifted powdered sugar
  • 1/8 tsp
    lemon juice

How To Make first-rate cream cheese frosting recipe

    In a large mixing bowl beat cream cheese, butter (or margarine), vanilla, and lemon juice with an electric mixer on medium to high speed until light and fluffy.Gradually add 2 cups of the powdered sugar, beating well. Gradually beat in enough of the remaining powdered sugar to make the frosting of spreading consistency.
