Started making this cake about 2000. This is a good one to take to a pot luck.

Ingredients

1 box white cake mix
1 box strawberry jello, small
1/2 cup strawberries, smashed
1/2 cup oil
4 large eggs
3/4 cup water
FROSTING
1 small cool whip
1/2 cup strawberries, smashed

How To Make strawberry cake

Step 1

Add all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix with the whip attachment until all blended. Make sure you scrape the bottom after mixing for about a minute.

Step 2

Pour into a 9" x 13" pan, that has been prepared and bake at 350 for about 40-45 minutes. Cool.
Step 3

Mix cool whip and strawberries together and frost the cake with the mixture. Refrigerate until you serve it.
