apple crisp
This is an old recipe. I have revised it a little by taking out some of the sugar and adding cinnamon. I remember eating this as a child. I believe this is Brenda's all time favorite dessert. Divide this recipe in half for an 8" x 8" pan.

Ingredients
- 8 cups apples, mixture of granny smith and golden delicious
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- TOPPING
- 1 cup flour
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
- 1 cup oatmeal, uncooked
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
How To Make apple crisp

Step 1Core, peel, and slice apples.

Step 2In a bowl, mix the sugar, flour, and cinnamon together. Put the apples in a baking dish 8 x 12", add the sugar mixture and mix together.

Step 3Topping: In a medium sized bowl, mix the flour, brown sugar, oatmeal, soda, baking powder, and cinnamon together. Cut the butter into this mixture with a fork or pastry cutter until it looks crumbly. Top the apple mixture with it and bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
