  • 6 oz. Cream cheese
  • 1/2 C. Butter (or margarine) softened
  • 2 tsp. Vanilla
  • 4 1/4 to 4 1/2 C. Sifted powdered sugar
  • 1/4 C. Unsweetened cocoa powder

How To Make expert chocolate cream cheese frosting recipe

  • Step 1
    In a large mixing bowl beat cream cheese, butter (or margarine), cocoa powder, and vanilla with an electric mixer on medium to high speed until light and fluffy. Gradually add 2 cups of the powdered sugar, beating well. Gradually beat in enough of the remaining powdered sugar to make the frosting of spreading consistency.
