INGREDIENTS
1 (30-ounce) can pumpkin PIE mix (NOT pumpkin puree!*)
3 large eggs
1 cup heavy cream OR evaporated milk
2/3 cup granulated sugar
3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 and 1/2 tablespoons pumpkin pie spice
1 (15.25 ounce) yellow cake mix (DRY)
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup chopped pecans, to mix into flour mixture (optional)
1/2 cup chopped pecans, for the top (optional)
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted
vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, for serving
salted caramel sauce, for serving
