Easy Pasta Fagioli Soup Recipe - Baker by Nature

INGREDIENTS
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional) 
1 large yellow onion, chopped
1 lb Italian sausage (mild, sweet, or spicy will work)
4 large carrots, diced 
6 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme, finely chopped 
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning 
(1) 32 ounce container chicken broth
(2) 28 ounce cans crushed tomatoes with basil 
(2) 15 ounce cans white beans
1 cup ditalini pasta 
2 cups baby spinach, roughly chopped 
Salt and Pepper, to taste 
Parmesan cheese, for serving
