2 - 14.5 ounce cans red gold diced tomatoes (basis, garlic and oregano), separated

1 - 6 ounce can tomato paste
•
1 - teaspoon oregano
•
1/2 - teaspoon dried basil or use fresh chopped basil

black pepper to taste

1/4 - cup Parmesan or Parmesan reggiano cheese
