Here's what you are going to need:

For the stew:

5 pounds of cooked and shredded chicken (a rotisserie chicken works fine)

4 carrots, peeled and sliced 1/4" thick

2 celery ribs, sliced 1/4" thick

1 medium onion, chopped fine
•
6 Tablespoons flour
•
5 cups of chicken broth
•
1/4 cup of whole milk
•
1 teaspoon thyme
•
2 bay leaves
•
1 teaspoon salt

1 to 2 cups of peas (canned or frozen)

3 Tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

For the dumplings:

2 cups of All-Purpose Flour
•
1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
•
1 teaspoon salt
•
1 cup of whole milk
•
3 Tablespoons Butter, melted
