Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons walnuts (or pistachios, almonds, hazelnuts, etc.)
  • 2 tablespoons rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup milk or unsweetened milk substitute (coconut, rice, soy, etc.)
  • 1/2 tablespoon instant espresso powder
  • pinch salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tablespoon real maple syrup
  • 2 - dried dates, pitted and cut up into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup crushed ice, approximately

How To Make smmmmothie for 1

  • Step 1
    Place the walnuts (or nuts of choice) and the rolled oats in a blender and PULSE until ground to a fine powder.
  • Step 2
    Add all of the remaining ingredients (except for the crushed ice) and process until smooth. Now add the ice, and BLEND for 1 full minute. Note: the dates will not blend completely and you'll end up with little pieces of dates in the bottom of your glass. A sweet treat to look forward to!
