mango lassi with berries

From the cookbook "In Nirmala's Kitchen". I love the idea of the rosewater with the mango. Berries as garnish sound lovely with the tang of the mango.

Ingredients For mango lassi with berries

  • 30 oz
    plain yogurt
  • 2 c
    ripe mango pulp (fresh or canned) about 1 large mango
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp
    rose water (optional)
  • 1 c
    mixed berries (raspberries and blueberries or whatever you want!)
  • sprig
    mint for garnish (optional)

How To Make mango lassi with berries

  • 1
    In a blender, process all of the ingredients (except the berries and mint) with 1 cup of water until mixture is thick and smooth
  • 2
    Refrigerate for several hours. Add the fresh berries just before serving and garnish with mint sprigs, if using.
