How to Make Mummy's Famous EggNog
- separate the egg yolks. Save whites in separate bowl. Beat sugar, eggs and vanilla until very light and creamy. slowly add cream and milk. Add Cognac( or brandy) then add Rum.
- If you are going to be serving it the same day... But I suggest waiting a day or even 2! You can whip the egg whites with a little sugar til just fluffy, but not too stiff! Then fold into the nog... serve with a little nutmeg on top...
- However, if you are waiting to let the Nog "brew"... Put the whites in a covered bowl in the fridge, remove a half an hour before you intend on beating them , then add them to the brewed nog and serve as above.. ENJOY!
