mom's hot punch

My mother has been making this hot punch since forever. We make it in an electric percolator but I think it can be just as easily made on the stove. This is what we all drink at family gatherings come fall all through the winter and is practically a tradition in our family.

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups un-sweetened pineapple juice
- 2 1/2 cups cranberry juice
- 1 1/2 cups water, cold
- 2 sticks cinnamon (crushed or broken up)
- 4 - cloves
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
How To Make mom's hot punch

Step 1Combined juices and water in a pot or in a percolator.

Step 2If using a percolator place crushed cinnamon sticks, cloves, brown sugar, and salt in the basket. Seal up and let the percolator go.

Step 3If using stove top go ahead and add brown sugar and salt to liquid and in a mesh tea ball put in cloves and cinnamon sticks. This makes it easy to fish out later. Bring everything to a boil for 5-10 min then serve.
