This recipe is very rich and good. If you don't like whiskey, try rum. Or just leave the alcohol out. It is still very good!

Ingredients

  • 6 - eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 pint borden vanilla ice cream
  • 4 cups borden egg nog
  • 10 ounces cool whip
  • 1 cup crown royal whiskey

How To Make egg nog

  • Step 1
    Beat the eggs well with an electric mixer. Add the sugar, milk, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  • Step 2
    Cook on very low heat for 25 minutes.
  • Step 3
    In another bowl, combine the whipping cream and softened ice cream.
  • Step 4
    Combine with the cooled egg mixture. Pour into a mold and freeze. This part of the recipe can be done several days in advance.
  • Step 5
    Combine the egg nog, cool whip, and whiskey in a punch bowl when ready to serve. Add the frozen egg nog that you made. It will stay all day if frozen well.
