dyed to match punch
(1 RATING)
Large wedding receptions with all the trimmings have always been the trend. Many brides drive their caterers crazy with requests to color key a wedding reception from the bridesmaids' dresses to the candy mints. This easy punch recipe has almost no color when it is mixed, so it is easy to dye the punch to match any bride's palette. One word of warning: Some color combinations look more appetizing than others! Source: unknown

- - 5 1/2 quarts water
- - 2 cups bottled lemon juice
- - 2 cans (12 oz. each) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed, undiluted
- - food color, optional
- - 1/4 cup hot water, optional
- - 1 bottle ginger ale, chilled, 1 liter
How To Make dyed to match punch
-
Step 1In large container, mix sugar, water and lemon juice. Stir til sugar dissolves. Stir in lemonade. To color punch, dissolve a few drops of food color in hot water; add to punch. Refrigerate til serving time.
-
Step 2Pour chilled punch into punch bowl. Add ginger ale just before serving. Note: IF a slushy punch is desired, make the recipe, without the ginger ale, ahead of time and store in freezer. Thaw to slushy consistency before serving, then add ginger ale. Makes about 60 servings
