well this is a christmas in july punch but i have it during the holidays at parties it is a big hit

Ingredients

2 jars (10 oz each) strawberry jelly
1----- 2 liters lemon lime soda, divided
2 quarts peppermint stick ice cream
- miniature candy canes (optional)

How To Make candy cane punch

Step 1

in a large saucepan, melt jelly with 2 cups soda. chill the jelly mixture and remaining soda.

Step 2

just before serving, place 6 cups ice cream in a punch bowl. gently stir in jelly mixture.
Step 3

add remaining soda. add remaining ice cream by scoopfuls. garnish with candy canes, if desired.
