We called my grandfather, Pap. Everyone knew that he had a likeness for the spirits. He even had a still during the prohibition. My mother got this remedy from him, but we had to be pretty sick before we received this home remedy.

- 1 - fifth whiskey
- 1 - extra large peppermint stick, crushed
How To Make pap's cough syrup

Step 1Pour whiskey over crushed peppermint in a large jar.

Step 2Use two tablespoons as needed for cough. If cough persists add a couple more teaspoons.
