mango lassi

What a delicious and refreshing drink for a hot summer day. I used plain goat yogurt in this. It gave it a different flavour from using cow's milk yogurt which we liked. This is very thick. I put my ice cubes right into the blender, but you can just pour the lassi over the ice too.

Ingredients

  • 1 large ripe mango, peeled and flesh removed
  • 1 1/2 cups plain yogurt (i used goat)
  • 1/2 cup chilled filtered water
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar subsitute (i used xylitol)
  • - pinch of cardamom (optional)
  • - ice cubes

How To Make mango lassi

  • Step 1
    I got the original recipe from the South Beach Diet Taste of Summer Cookbook. In a blender combine everything but the ice.
  • Step 2
    Blend until smooth.
  • Step 3
    Pour the mango lassi over the ice cubes.
  • Step 4
    Serve and Enjoy!
