Diabetes Recipe with Coffee

Chocolate-flavored drink mix replaces high-carb sugar syrup in this home-style recipe version of a coffee shop drink.

  • 1 c
    cold water
  • 1/4 c
    ground french roast or espresso roast coffee
  • 1/2 c
    fat-free milk
  • 2 Tbsp
    no-sugar-added chocolate-flavored drink mix (nestle nesquick)
  • ·
    ice cubes

How to Make Iced Mocha


  1. Using a drip coffeemaker, add the water and ground coffee.
  2. Brew according to manufactures directions.
  3. Pour coffee into a glass measuring coffee.
  4. Stir in milk and drink mix.
  5. Serve coffee mixture over ice in chilled tall glasses.
